Hope this email finds everyone doing well and you enjoyed the summer that went by all so fast. I would like to thank everyone who came out and golfed, volunteered, or sponsored in support of our 9th annual golf outing which was another success. Thanks to your tremendous support, we will be making another donation to the University of Chicago's Prostate Research Center and another selected Cancer Research Center for almost $20,000!! Once again, on behalf of your Friends Against Cancer board, WE THANK YOU.

I would also like to let you know, and in preparation for our 10th Annual Outing, we have booked up at Tamarack once again for the FAC outing on Friday, August 24th -- so save the date. We look forward to putting together the 10th annual outing for such a great great cause in fighting the deadly disease of Cancer.

We'll keep in touch, and for those who we don't see we wish you and your families the best of the holiday seasons that are fast approaching.

Yesterday, I was made aware of a scheduling conflict with our FAC golf outing and another outing which many of our supporters and friends attend every year. I made contact with Tamarak and fortunately, they had the following Friday -- August 25th available for us, so I booked that date to accommodate many of our golfers and supporters.

I apologize for any inconvenience that this change of date might have caused with any of your previous scheduling. Attached are the new flyers with the updated information – Friday, August 25th -- for the outing.

I hope this email finds each of you and your families doing well and staying safe in these crazy times. Want to get this out to everyone to let you know we are all booked and ready to roll for our 9th Annual Friends Against Cancer Golf Outing -- so no excuses SAVE THE DATE!! With all the great feedback we received from last year's outing, we will again be going back to the Tamarack golf course in Naperville.

The outing is all set for Friday, August 18th with tee off time at 9:00am. Set up will be the same with registration beginning at 7:30am and with the open bar beginning around 2pm or shortly thereafter depending on what time everyone starts coming in.

I'll have the new flyers and sponsorship agreement forms ready to go over the next few weeks. As always, we will be looking for volunteers to work the gambling holes, and for event sponsors. We're looking forward to another outstanding event to support those who have been touched or have battled prostate cancer over the years since we've started this great event. Golfers and foursomes will be reserved on a first contact basis.

On behalf of the Friends Against Cancer executive board, we thank each of you for your tremendous support. Without you we would never have been able to raise, and donate almost $200,000 for Prostate Cancer Research and to assist those who are experiencing this deadly disease.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in our 8th annual golf outing in making it an outstanding event. Wonderful time had by all. As you know, we had a lot of great items that were raffled off and also some really nice Silent Auction items. I want to give each of you first chance, especially for those who were unable to be there for the raffle.

For the sports items we can work on a price, which are valued way over retail prices, but we can't take a loss on the items that have to be returned if we don't sell them -- I'll have the items till the end of the week before I return them. For the Allstate Arena tickets we are able to take a little less than box office prices, which if you are interested let me know and we will get you a great great price.

We are all set and ready to go for tomorrow's 8th Annual event. Just want to send you a reminder that --

the outing is taking place at Tamarack Golf Club in Naperville!! and not at Carriage Greens.

Tamarack Golf Club is in Naperville - Located on the west side of Rt 59 just south of 103rd St. Hopefully, I don't take any calls at 8am asking where everyone is at because you're at the wrong course, haha!! I know that will not happen -- well.............Na, I have all the faith and confidence in you that we will be seeing everyone at Tamarack tomorrow morning.

Check-in will start around 7:30 and we will be teeing off at 9:00am. We have a lot of great raffle prizes and silent auction items ready to go, and with a special thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and golfers as without you this outing doesn't happen every year. You're the best!!

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. The 8th annual FAC golf outing is fast approaching and a little over a week away. As of this email we have 120 golfers all signed up and ready to hit away. For those who have not sent me the names who are in your foursome can you please send them to me asap -- thank you. The course is requiring an initial set of names by the end of the week so they can start getting things set up on their end.

We are meeting tonight to get all the volunteers and everything else ready to go for that day. We're looking forward to another great and enjoyable event so if you would like to just attend the dinner, or sponsor a hole or make a donation to Friends Against Cancer please see the attached forms. The flyer also has all the information for golf and registration at Tamarack that day -- we can still book foursomes if you know of anyone who would like to golf.

Needless to say, it's been a crazy last week as we were notified that Carriage Greens had some staff changes earlier in the year, which resulted in another group being booked the day of our golf outing coming up, and us not being notified. I had booked us for this year's event at last year's outing and thought we were all set -- obviously, we were not.

Many calls were made to several courses as all were reserved for outings, but we were extremely lucky to hit the jackpot with Tamarack Golf Club who was absolutely great to deal with. With that, our 8th annual event is still on for the same day, Friday, August 26th at:

We hope this doesn't impact those of you who have signed up and reserved foursomes already. We have over 110 golfers signed up to enjoy the festivities at the 8th annual outing. With the outing only three (3) weeks away, if you haven't reserved your spot or foursome can you please let me know asap with all the names you will be golfing with, or if you are unable to attend due to the course change – thank you.

Hope this email finds everyone doing well and enjoying the summer so far. Our 8th annual Friends Against Cancer golf outing is only a couple months away so it's time to start getting everything ready to roll -- see the attached flyer and sponsorship agreement forms.

We are looking forward to building on the absolute success of our previous seven outings and looking forward to another great outing on Friday, August 26th. It's that time to start working on our sponsors for the 2022 outing and getting our registration ready to go. If you would like to book your foursome and if you are interested in sponsoring a hole please let us know. As in the past, the foursomes fill up fast and we reserve on a first reply basis. Also, if you would like to volunteer that day let me know as we are going to start meeting with the volunteers over the next couple of weeks to get that process all set up for the 26th.

Thanks to your tremendous support over the years, last year in 2021 we raised just over $15,000 dollars that we donated towards prostate cancer research to our many dear friends who have battled this deadly disease over the years and to the memory of our guy "Snake" and other dear friends who fought that battle so courageously before succumbing to this disease.

Just want everyone to know that our annual Friends Against Cancer golf outing is booked and ready to go for Friday, August 26th this year. Looking for another great event and to seeing everyone. Last years outing raised over $15,000 and was another great event where we were able to make donations to organizations to assist with their research and assistance in their fight against cancer.

Over the past few weeks I have been in contact with Carriage Greens to get ready for our upcoming 7th Annual FAC Golf Outing. We are all set to go and booked for another great event on Friday, September 17th with a tee off time at 9:00am.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I hope each of you and your families enjoyed a wonderful Easter Holiday and in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic we hope everyone is in good health and spirits.

In just over a month we have our 6th Annual FAC outing scheduled for Friday, May 22nd. We are presently filled with 148 golfers signed up -- and we thank each of you for your tremendous support. With that, I received an email last week from Carriage Greens Golf Course informing us that they are still planning on hosting all of their scheduled May events and outings.

We know the national emergency declared with COVID-19 has severely impacted our economy in various ways. Especially, many our business sponsors who were closed down and many individuals who are now unemployed or will be laid-off due to the shutdowns put in place by the goof of a governor we have. Right now, the outing is still scheduled but we know, and rightfully so that we will not have the sponsorship support that we have always had in the past. Also, with 148 golfers scheduled I'm not sure if some will be comfortable to come in contact with many others that day and, obviously it is a mute point if the shelter at home and business closings are extended till the end of May, which I'm hearing rumblings -- nothing confirmed -- that it might.

With the current situation concerning COVID-19, we are reaching out to each of you for your opinions and feedback if we should still plan on hosting the outing on May 22nd, or look into rescheduling till later in the year when hopefully, things settle down with and we get back into our normal way of living. Ladies and Gentlemen,
As of this communication, the 6th annual event is completely filled with 144 golfers -- thank you for the early responses and support. With that, we will start a waiting list for those still wishing to golf on May 22nd at Carriage Greens. I have received payments from a couple of you to reserve your spots along with sponsorship checks. If you want to lock your spots from this point on please get your payments to either myself or Gary Geiger because if we don't receive the payments by the deadline before the outing we will start notifying those on the waiting list and they will be golfing instead of you -- first pay first play!! Ticket prices are the same -- $150.00 per golfer or $600.00 per foursome -- includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner afterwards and a 2 hour open bar.

I've been working with the course over the past few days and we are all set for the hole in one prizes, longest drives, longest putts, gambling holes and so on. We are moving right along to have another great event for a great cause. The website which has been updated with event dates, flyers, and sponsorship agreement forms along with pictures from our past outings. Rich Pintur does a fabulous job of hosting the website and keeping it up-to-date with the latest and greatest information. Take a minute and see his great work and browse through the pics from the previous outings.

I'll also be reaching out to those who volunteered in the past to start meeting and getting that work rolling for all the other events to coordinate for that day.

As of today, we have 112 golfers signed up which means we only have openings for 32 more golfers. Spots are saved on a first come first reserved basis so book'em up quick. Hope this email finds everyone doing well and enjoying 2020. With that, were proud to announce that we are in the process of putting together our 6th Annual Friends Against Cancer golf outing to benefit prostate cancer research. The 6th annual FAC outing will take place at the Carriage Greens Golf Course, located at 8700 Carriage Greens Drive in Darien on Friday, May 22nd at 9:00am -- this is the course where we held our inaugural outing which was a tremendous, tremendous success that set the way for the success of our Friends Against Cancer 501(c)3 organization. Price will remain the same at $150.00 per golfer and $600.00 per foursome. The ticket includes; 18 holes of golf w/cart, lunch ticket, post round dinner buffet with 2 hour premium open bar.

The flyers, hole sponsorship forms, and all the paperwork are ready to go. Click on the links above. With that, please save the date as we are looking forward to another great event to raise money for our family and friends who have battled and are currently battling cancer. The success of our outings and your support have donated almost $150,000 to the University of Chicago for Prostate Cancer Research.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are only a couple of weeks out from the 5th Annual Friends Against Cancer golf outing. With that, I need to start getting the foursome information ready to submit to the golf course and I need the names of those who are golfing with each foursome. As of today, we have 132 golfers signed up and many have submitted the names with their foursomes. If you know who you are golfing with please get me the names as soon as you can so I can start getting the paperwork ready. Also, we need to get your payments in for golf and sponsorships -- $150.00 per golfer.

We are also putting together some new apparel for sale -- Carolina blue windshirts and orange golf polo shirts will be available for sale as Carolina blue and orange are the Prostate Cancer colors. We are working on getting some sample pics to post on the website for viewing. If you are interested in pre-ordering a windshirt or polo let me know and we will get them ordered -- they will look great. We will also have some for sale at the outing, but we would like to get a count to include the pre-orders. Please send me an email or give me a call with your order preference and size(s).

Our website is also looking outstanding so since you're here, look around - you can view all the pictures from the previous years outings. Rich Pintur did fabulous work in putting the site together and keeping it up to date for everyone to view.

We just had our volunteer meeting last night to start make final preparations for the FAC outing. We can use all the sponsorships we can get in order to make another generous donation to the University of Chicago Center for Prostate Cancer Research. With our last donation of 25,000, the Friends Against Cancer organization made the Donors Wall of Fame as we have raised over 100,000 for prostate cancer research thanks to your support.

As noted on the flyer, cost for golf is $150.00 per person and hole sponsorships start at 100.00 (please see the attached flyers for further sponsorship information). Please get your checks in ASAP to secure your spot for golf.

We've had a great response and as of today we have 84 golfers who have reserved their spots for the event on Friday, May 18th. We can only have 144 golfers and spots are reserved on a first come first reserved basis so get your spots locked since we are filling up fast for the annual event.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a great New Year so far. We are looking forward to another great year for our support of Friends Against Cancer (FAC) and supporting Prostate Cancer Research. We would like to take this opportunity and thank each of you for your support in 2017 as we made another $25,000.00 donation to the University of Chicago Prostate Cancer Research center a few months ago. Thanks to your support and donations totaling $25,000.00 to U of C in 2017, we now have achieved the honor of making the Prostate Cancer Research Donor Wall of Fame.
Since starting our first golf outing for the cause in 2014 and heading into our 5th annual outing we have raised over $100,000.00 in donations to achieve the honor of being placed on the Donor Wall of Fame. This achievement does not happen without each and every one of you, and on behalf of all of our family and friends who have tragically suffered through this deadly disease -- we thank you.
With this achievement, we are getting ready to plan our 5th annual golf outing which again will take place at Village Greens in Woodridge – hopefully the weather will cooperate this year. The event will take place on Friday, May 18th with a starting tee off time of 10am. As in the past, we have always filled up the foursomes quick so please reserve your spots as soon as you can. The most golfers we can accommodate is 144 and we have always experienced a waiting list for foursomes so book quickly. The cost remains the same at $150.00 per golfer or $600.00 per foursome.
We hope that we can generate another great donation for Prostate Cancer Research and reach the next level on the Donor Wall of Fame at the University of Chicago in the near future. We'll be looking for volunteers, sponsors, and whatever opportunity we have to raise money for such a great cause.
